Pure. Popcorn. Entertainment. That's an exact classification of director Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The action is nonstop, with battles and explosions from learn to finish. The camera (without any subtlety) exploits Megan Fox's hotness towards the max. As if she weren't enough, a fresh sex kitten (Isabel Lucas) is thrown to the equation. Shia LaBeouf is really as charismatic as ever, and fills the starring role with ease. After which you have the humour. Sam's parents (Kevin Dunn and Julie White) provided some semi-raunchy laugh-out-loud moments within the first movie, but now they go to the next level. Sometimes it appears like they may be trying a little too hard, but it continues to be hilarious.

As far since the “plot” goes, the writers didn't waste much time--it's really simply a context to the giant-robot death matches and dramatic slow-mo sequences. The movie kicks off 2 yrs later where the Autobots have formed an alliance with the U.S. government, creating an elite team led by Major Lennox (Josh Duhamel), in an effort to snuff out any remaining Decepticons that demonstrate up. The bad guys keep coming, also it turns out that a much more menacing force than Megatron is out there--and it's searching for something on the planet that's tied for the very origin of the Transformers race. Fans with the franchise will likely be delighted with the addition of several new robot characters (there are very over 40 within the sequel, versus only 13 within the first). The second Transformers has shaped up to get one from the worst reviewed and most successful movies of all time. This strange pairing is absolutely just an indication that this movie has one purpose: to entertain. The creators didn't desire to waste time bogging around the action and drama with substance--which was arguably an excellent decision. --Jordan Thompson

How can you like your blockbuster movies? In the big event the answer’s loud, fast and filled with big robots fighting, then you’re well and truly in luck. For director Michael Bay’s take on Transformers, based on the toys in the same name, delivers just that. And with a few style.
The film stars the fast-rising Shia LaBeouf (Disturbia) as Sam, who discovers that his first car has a bit more with it if this transforms into an Autobot robot called Bumblebee. Fortunately, the Autobots include the good guys, and following not far behind are an excellent number more, headed up by Optimus Prime. Against them are the less friendly Decepticons, with Megatron with the helm, along with the two sides are positioned for a frenetic battle right inside middle of Planet Earth.

There’s a plot sitting underneath all of this, but it’s pretty much given with all the Transformers movie that it’s only a vehicle to have the film derived from of set piece to another. And there’s little denying the action sequences are spectacular. Boasting quite staggering special effects, the on-screen action moves with a pace and ferocity that sometimes causes it to be hard just to help keep up by it all, as mighty robots engage is some quite staggering fights. It’s quite an achievement.

Pure. Popcorn. Entertainment. That's an exact classification of director Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge from the Fallen. The action is nonstop, with battles and explosions from will finish. The camera (without any subtlety) exploits Megan Fox's hotness for the max. As if she weren't enough, a new sex kitten (Isabel Lucas) is thrown in to the equation. Shia LaBeouf will be as charismatic as ever, and fills the starring role with ease. Then there's the humour. Sam's parents (Kevin Dunn and Julie White) provided some semi-raunchy laugh-out-loud moments within the first movie, but now they go towards the next level. Sometimes it seems like these are trying just a little too hard, nevertheless it is still hilarious.

As far since the “plot” goes, the writers didn't waste much time--it's really merely a context for that giant-robot death matches and dramatic slow-mo sequences. The movie kicks off 2 yrs later where the Autobots have formed an alliance while using U.S. government, creating an elite team led by Major Lennox (Josh Duhamel), within an effort to snuff out any remaining Decepticons that report up. The bad guys keep coming, and yes it turns out that the much more menacing force than Megatron is out there--and it can be seeking something in the world which is tied for the very origin of the Transformers race. Fans from the franchise will probably be delighted with the addition of numerous new robot characters (there are well over 40 in the sequel, versus only 13 in the first). The second Transformers has shaped up to get one in the worst reviewed and many successful movies coming from all time. This strange pairing is really just an indication that this movie has one purpose: to entertain. The creators didn't need to hang around bogging around the action and drama with substance--which was arguably a good decision. --Jordan Thompson
